| A classic that (almost) everyone knows. Not the greatest game for adults, but children can still have many good hours with this. |

| Ah, Life. It's more like the game of the '50s American stereotypical life - sometimes altered into the modern age by design updates - but it's still a fun family game. Part of the enjoyment of The Game of Life is game-driven nostalgia, and some is nostalgia for the game itself. Spin the spinner. |
| Although more advanced players might look down on this game, it does play a very important role in children's exposure to board games - since pretty much everyone has tried it at some point in time. What I really like about the game, is that it functions as a (simple) storytelling game where you see your character develop over time - paving the road for great adventure games later on. |
