Macao, the mysterious harbor city on the south coast of China, is the Portuguese trading center in the far east at the end of the 17th century. The players take on the roles of the energetic adventurers who sought their fortunes in Macao. Whether as captain or governor, as craftsman or scholar, numerous exciting functions are offered the players. Who will use his various possible actions the wisest? Who will have the best plan and can acquire the most prestige by the end of the game?

| This game has a windrose for each player. At the start of your turn, you have to decide which of two resources you are going to stock up on for future turns. The combination of resources, especially when compared to the reserve of cards at your disposal, make for some agonizing choices as you try to gain abilities, gain money, and most importantly, gain victory points.
This is truly a gamer's-game.... If you like to think, and to see your best plans come together (or perhaps not!), then this is the game for you. |
