Dwarf King
From the Publisher...
Based on Barbu, a french traditional card game, but even more cranky, The Dwarf King is a trick-taking game with dozens of different goals and a few special cards with zany effects. There are three suits (Dwarves, Goblins, and Humans) of thirteen cards each, 25 special cards and sixteen contract cards. Each round, each player is dealt a number of normal cards and two contracts, of which he selects one to fulfill that round. He also draws one special card, of which the type (Dragon, Mummy, Sorcerer, Troll, Wizard) can be freely chosen. After seven rounds, the player who scores the most points (by fulfilling his contracts) wins the game.

I love this game! Bruno Faidutti makes some excellent and games. It's essentially a trick-taking card game, based on barbu, It's 3-5 player, though I find it best with 4, the theme is entertaining and implemented very well, and the cards themselves are great stock and look really nice. |
