Junk Yard Races (1st edition)

With a jet full of fuel securely strapped to the back of your cart, bracking yourself and praying that the thing stays together without exploding, you slowly reach back and turn the valve. The blast of the jet pins you to the back of your seat, sending your cart hurtling round the yard at such a speed, that the track ahead blurs out view. Flying past two other carts and fast approaching the third, you see the chequered flag anc can vertually taste the cola prize. Nothing can stop you now as you sail through glue and acid traps set by the cart in front, than God you had the foresight to fid the acid proff non-stick tyres at your last pit stop. You pass the third cart as the jet fuel gauge approaches empty and you prepare for a steady cruise toe the Finish line. You only hear the fateful ticking sound once your fuel is spent and the jet hisses to a stop, but by this time its too late. Without knowig it, you picked up a time bomb when you passed the last cart. The explosion sends your cart spinning to face the opposite direction and grinds you to a sudden halt. Turning to survey the damage you see the other carts pass you at such speeds that you know, at least for today, the race is lost... But what a race! )
