It's a canoe race and a card game all in one. Movement in the race is determined by the card game. However, there are plenty of strategic decisions on the river. The first one across the finish line wins.

| I like games that combine unlikely elements, and canyon is both a trick taking card game AND a board based race game. This adds new spice to a well known formula, and it makes it very easy to bring in new players, due to the attractive appearance of the game. |
