This is another great expansion for Neuroshima Hex which adds 2 more armies and can even be played as a stand-alone game. I wouldn't recommend this to be used stand-alone if you are not familiar with the base game, since there are a lot of new abilities with the 2 included armies, which can be quite overwhelming. However, if you already know how to play and especially when you mix this into the base game, the result is a great addition that will keep the game fresh for a long time. As with the first expansion, these armies also have a very distinct feel to them, and they require a player to really change the way they play to use their strengths - this is great as it adds so much variety to the game. With this and the previous expansion, I don't think there is any risk of this game ever becoming stale. |
