This rulebook was actually fun to read! Not only are the rules clearly and concisely written, but many strategy tips are included as well. The section on the history and lore of Icehouse Pyramids was both interesting and informative.
But that ain't all, folks!
Icehouse Pyramids are not a game, but a game system, like a deck of cards. To take advantage of this system, it is not enough to buy just one Treehouse tube. Here's what you should get:
1) 5 Treehous tubes (either Rainbow or Xeno)
2) 1 book, "Playing With Pyramids"
3) 1 set of Volcano Caps (5 small pyramids)
With these items you can play almost all of the literally hundreds of games written for this system. Go to the Looney Labs website for complete rule sets. There's enough there for a lifetime of gaming! My favorites include: Icehouse, Volcano, Zendo and Gnostica. |
