This is an incredibly fun and addictive game that takes an incredibly long time to both set up and play...this is not necessarily a bad thing as long as everyone is fully cognizant of this going in. Bonus: more expansions than you can shake a stick at. |

This game is so much fun. It does take a good amount of time to set up and to play, but the time you spend playing it you wont realize how long it took. Take your rpg games to a board. Not as hardcore as D&D but a better alternative then needing to know tons of rules. |

Great game, me and my friends have played at least once a week since we have gotten it. Very addicting but takes some time to get use to the rules. |

Fun cooperative game, especially with a lively evil overlord. The figurines are great and there is a large variety of avatars players can choose. I can't wait to play again! |

This is not really a traditional dungeon crawler but a detailed tactical fighting game. Takes a long time to play, but can be great fun. |
The strenght of this game is also it's drawback for some - it requires a large investment of time. The time is well spent on creating a detailed tactical dungeon-crawl game, so it is highly recommended for those you can set aside the hours. |

We may have had Heroquest as kids, but Descent is the best of that genre of game, all grown up. Tons of high-quality components with a smart dice-based combat system, lots of heroes and monsters, and several scenarios to explore.
Then move on to one of the two campaign-based expansions with Road to Legend or Sea of Blood, and you're talking years upon years of quality gameplay.
This is the game that younger gamers will talk about fondly years from now. An instant classic. |
