Mancala
From the Publisher...
This centuries-old African stone game offers endless challenges to the strategic thinker of today. The object is to collect as many stones as possible before your opponent does. Mancala's fun comes from thinking many moves ahead on an ever-changing playing board. Board is 18" when opened and includes 48 colored "Gemstones".

I used this in my French class. It is a great cultural game. Teachers can introduce African culture and explain the value of the stones while students have fun playing an educational game. |
Great classic abstract that has much more depth than you first see. Children like to play with the components and later like to play the actual game. |

Mancala is a very simplistic game with surprising complexity, and many, many games have been based around its mechanics. I find that people either love it or hate it, not a lot of middle ground. |
