TurfMaster is a game that requires tactics, skill and some luck. As on a real racecourse, in TurfMaster a horse does not simply stay in the lead from start to finish and win. Constant changes of positions, polished race tactics, the menacing of the opponents are all things that go to make up TurfMaster. A victory only takes place at the finish and not on the way. The ideal position is to be found at the latest by the final bend before hitting the home straight. Overtaking, risking detours over outside lanes or remaining on the inside and saving metres yet risking being blocked are all things you decide completely on your own like the jockeys of fast horses in real life.
