| I love deduction games, but often they often turn into logical puzzles ("collect-all-information-but-one") rather than leaving room for actually deducing anything. Name of the Rose requires players to try to deduce meaning from the actions of the other players, while keeping the identity of their own character hidden - this makes for a great deduction game with guesswork, theories and bluffing. Also, the components are amazing - everything in the box looks great and very thematic. |
