There are not many deduction games available, and even fewer that are really good. Fortunately, Days of Wonder decided to release Mystery Express, which not only is a solid deduction game (a bit similar to Clue), but which also plays fast and has an atmospheric setting. I particularly like the fact that in Mystery Express you rarely have all the information that you need, so it is not just a race to find the correct solution, but actually a test of who can make the most educated guesses at the end of the game. This keeps things interesting, and everyone feels that they have a chance at the end (although some will have a better chance than others). |
