Treehouse (Xeno)
From the Publisher...
Treehouse is the exciting new pyramid game designed by Andrew Looney, the creator of the card game Fluxx. For 2-4 players, each game last only 5-10 minutes - but you'll want to rack them up again and again each time someone wins. Each player rolls the custom die to determine if they will TIP, SWAP, DIG, AIM, or HOP their Tree of three pyramids while they try to make them match the configuration of the shared goal called The House. Roll a WILD and you can change your own Tree or The House. Xeno (Purple, Orange, Clear, Cyan, White)

Treehouse is a quick fun little game, very portable, with just the right mixture of strategy and luck. It may be enjoyed by both children and adults alike. The rules are very easy. Just roll the die and perform the indicated action either on your personal 'tree' or the community 'house'. The winner is the first person to make her 'tree' and the 'house' look exactly the same.
But that ain't all, folks!
This is not merely a game, but a game system, like a deck of cards. To take advantage of this system, it is not enough to buy just one Treehouse tube. Here's what you should get:
1) 5 Treehous tubes (either Rainbow or Xeno)
2) 1 book, "Playing With Pyramids"
3) 1 set of Volcano Caps (5 small pyramids)
With these items you can play almost all of the literally hundreds of games written for this system. Go to the Looney Labs website for complete rule sets. There's enough there for a lifetime of gaming! My favorites include: Icehouse, Volcano, Zendo and Gnostica. |
