Small World Board Game
From the Publisher...
Small World, the fun, zany, light-hearted civilization board game! In Small World, players vie for conquest and control of a world that is simply too small to accommodate them all.
Designed by Philippe Keyaerts as a fantasy follow-up to his award-winning Vinciā¢, Small World is inhabited by a zany cast of characters such as dwarves, wizards, amazons, giants, orcs and even humans; who use their troops to occupy territory and conquer adjacent lands in order to push the other races off the face of the earth.
Picking the right combination from the 14 different fantasy races and 20 unique special powers, players rush to expand their empires - often at the expense of weaker neighbors. Yet they must also know when to push their own over-extended civilization into decline and ride a new one to victory!

super fun game. players are on a conquest to control a world that is just to small to accomodate everyone. use your characters such as Dwarves, Giants and Orcs to occupy territory and take over adjacent lands in order to push other races off the face of the earth. struggled a little bit early on then got the hang of it after playing it once thru, and has become one of my favorites to play on board game night! havent tried the expansions yet, but i am sure my friends will be picking them up soon! |

An area control game with no player elimination... hurrah! Quick playing, entertaining, good quality components... but you may need sunglasses or other eye protection until you get used to the BRIGHTLY colored board... |

This game is incredibly fun and it plays very fast. There is just enough humor in the design/illustrations to keep things interesting without it becoming too cartoon-ish. Its a great game for a vocal/fun group...definitely not for curmudgeons. |

This is the strategic version of risk that you are really looking for. Take out the luck of the dice rolls and conquer the world with your ever expanding armies. If your army can not move anymore drop them and get a new one. This came is quick, fun, and has a lot of strategic depth. |

This is just a great family/friends game. Probably not the first game to introduce folks to, Ticket To Ride is still best for that. But for people who are ready for something slightly more complex, this fits perfectly. Doesn't hurt that it looks great. |

This is the first board game I had ever bought without actually playing first. Great strategy game with simple mechanics that make it easy for players that do not usually play board games to pick it up. Great game. |

Interesting take on world domination. The race/ability combinations are definitely interesting and add a lot of replayability to the game. This always seems to be a hit with the women of our playgroup....now explain that one! |

Some games hit the nail on the head when it comes to combining great strategy/tactics with a fun and seemingly light atmosphere. Case in point is Small World - while everyone feels like they're enjoying a light entertainment, everyone is planning, watching their opponents, and making sneaky tactical moves each turn. Really fun and enjoyed by all. |

Taking the classic "Vinci" and updating it with gorgeous artwork, a fun fantasy theme, and streamlined rules, Small World makes a perfect, ultra-light game of conquest and conflict that families can easily enjoy together. |

Smallworld is dynamic and cunning, I love to play it with our neighbors. Strategic planning and thinking ahead keeps this board game a high interest. The artwork is stunning, if you like a take-over-the-world kinda game, you gotta try this one. |

Take RISK and set it in a fantasy world where elves are prissy pansy-sniffers and skeletons reproduce like rabbits and you have Small World! It's a delightful game where the only rule you really need is "2 tokens plus the number of cardboard pieces on a space." |

A very fun and exciting game similiar to Risk but with more playability and overall wackiness. It's a good game that uses strategy, randomness and humor to produce a fine game! |

An Amazingly good, light-to-medium weight area control game. For the most part, it's improved Vinci, which was also a very good game. I particularly like some of the new powers and the addition of the attack die, as well as not having to be contiguous at turn's end. Thumbs up by Me |
Small World borrows elements from Brittania and Risk, but manages to package them in a colourful and family friendly way that makes this game great for introducing new players to the hobby. It also has tons of replayability due to the way the races are paired with abilities, making no two games the same - and the choice of which race to take and when to replace it is a very interesting and strategic one. |
This is a game that I just do not grow tired of. I guess it is because of the way you combine the races with characteristics, so that each game is truly different - but in any case, this is one of the very few games that I can play and enjoy pretty much every day. Fortunately, the game is also very known and popular, so finding opponents is usually easy too. |

Amazing monster civilization game. This should be on your gaming shelf! The pieces are well made and the graphics are gorgeous. The replay-ability of races is up with near limitless combinations. |
