| Khet borrows a lot from classic board games like Chess or Xiangqi, with the obvious laser addition. Most pieces are mirrored on one more more sides, allowing each player's laser to rebound and continue its torturous path towards the opposing Pharaoh. Unmirrored pieces caught in the beam are destroyed as the game progresses, making the Pharaohs increasingly vulnerable to clever attacks. This is a challenging and deep abstract strategy game, yet more intuitive than any chess match. |
