This is a beautiful game by Mayfair. The game is a worker placment game with some interesting twists. This game has gone over well with my family and my local game group. |

My husband and I really like this game. Works OK with two players. Many different strategies to win. Good replayability. |

Pillars of the Earth is a worker placement game in which players are trying to build a cathedral and gain points. It's based on a novel and is very thematic. The board itself is stunning. Just beautiful! You'll be hiring craftsmen to gain points, getting the favor of the king, or going to the market and wheeling and dealing. It's a heavier strategy game but not intimidating for "non-gamers." Enjoy! |
A great book turned into a great game. This game manages to capture the essence and atmosphere of the book perfectly, and you really feel like you are part of the story when playing. It is also a nice and tight ressource management game that I highly recommend to any fan of the story. |

Great worker placement with some interesting mechanics. I love the books so maybe I'm biased, but I prefer this to Stone Age. |
