Mesopotamia was home to many tribes and many golden ages as each tribe had its season in the sun.
During its season, a tribe would start new temples or continue working on temples begun by other tribes.
Thus, with the help of various tribes, the temples grew more and more beautiful and eventually reached
so high they seemed to touch the sky. The temples of these master builders took peoples' breath away,
but natural and man-made disasters could bring the temples down. When this happened, the craftsmen began
anew, moved to work on other temples, or just went ho me. Even with such setbacks, the temples continued
to grow toward the sky as the players worked to complete these monuments. There are several ways to win,
but all are based on the total number of temple layers a player has built.

|A great 2-player card game, that has an interesting theme of temple building. With 5 different tribes and each having a unique ability (skill), it gives you enough options to keep it very interesting. Like any card game, there’s some luck in the cards you pick-up. There are plenty of decisions and tactics you can use, which balances play quite well. I’ve enjoyed this game every time its been pulled out and so has my opponents, including my wife. If you like two player card games, then I would recommend this game, you won’t be disappointed!
|My boyfriend and his friends love this game. I have never played it, but he loves the strategy and thinking that go into play. He keeps telling me I can play "next time" - I can't wait till I actually can!
|Babel is a highly competitive game where the whole purpose is to destroy your opponents structures (ok, there in order to win, you need to build your own structures, but it certainly plays as if destruction is the main agenda). This is done very cleverly by granting different powers to various card combinations, which makes each turn a little mini-puzzle to make the most of your hand. It plays fast and is absolutely brutal - which is great fun against the right opponent.
