Ingenious (English version of Einfach Genial)
From the Publisher...
That’s ingenious!
Ingenious is the new abstract placement game from internationally-renowned game designer Reiner Knizia. Players place colored tiles on the hexagonal board, scoring points, blocking opponents’ tile placement, and trying to protect themselves from being blocked by their opponents. Marvelously elegant and compulsively replayable, Ingenious is an excellent introduction to German-style abstract board games. It’s ingeniously simple, and simply ingenious!
Ingenious is suitable for up to four players, as well as for solo play.

ingenious is a domino like game in a hexagonal board with an odd point system tipical by knizia. it is very light, fast to learn and play. |

This game has been a hit with everyone who has tried it, even people who claim they don't really like games have loved this and ask for it again. The rules are simple, you lay tiles of matching shapes/colors (so it plays well for those who may be colorblind, too). But the scoring system has a twist - everyone's lowest scored shape/color is used to determine the winner. This game also scales really nicely for 2, 3 or 4 players. The board size changes, depending upon the number of people playing. And it only takes about 30 minutes to play! |

This abstract strategy game is simple enough to teach anyone. Its durable and colorful components make for a quality addition to any collection. I've played with ages 8 and up and everyone seems to love it as much as I do. It is a blast to take a turn that gives you 15 points with one tile. |

The victory conditions really make this make. You can't let any colour fall behind or all your other efforts are wasted. |
Abstract game with very tactile components. It plays well with both 3 and 4 players, but I wouldn't recommend it for 2 (requires extra setup). It is simple and works very well for people not used to games. |
This is another English version of a game that is really language independent. It is an abstract game where you try to match symbols of different colors and shapes to score points. In my experience, however, who wins the game is determined more by how good you are at preventing your opponents from scoring. It is a simple game that plays fast, but it has some depth too. |

Easily comprehendable, gripping, strategic, taking merely 30min per game. At the moment one of my favorites. |

Great game, one of my favorites by Knizia! If you've played and liked Samurai, Through the Desert, or other Knizia classics, you'll definitely love this one. |
