| When playing an abstract for the first time there is always the chance that it could be too simple, or too complex. Going into quoridor for the first time I feared it would be to simple.
Thankfully, this is not the case! This game has all the visual appeal, depth, and clever mechanics that it needs to get on the gaming table again and again.

| Quoridor may be the perfect start for people interested in abstract games, but a bit intimidated by them. It is very simple to learn and plays so intuitively, that anyone can pick it up without preparation. Components are attractive and the board looks great with the shifting mazes. |

| My friends and I always played this game as a fast, light filler - until I was challenged by someone who took it very seriously. Let it be known, this game can be EITHER. I never thought I'd take such a pounding. Great game, the essence of deceptive simplicity. |
