Munchkin Cthulhu
From the Publisher...
a new stand-alone Munchkin game!
Munchkins have hacked their way through dungeons, kung fu temples, starships, haunted houses, and super-foes. Now they face their greatest challenge - Cthulhu! Will they survive? Will they retain their sanity? Will they . . . level up?
Munchkin Cthuhlu is the newest stand-alone game in the Munchkin line, this time lampooning Lovecraft's Mythos and the horror gaming that surrounds it. Brought to you by Steve Jackson and John Kovalic, this set features four new Classes - including the Cultist - and a lot of classic monsters from outside reality. And they all have Stuff you can take from their twitching bodies.
You can play Munchkin Cthulhu by itself, or combine it with any number of other Munchkin games for mind-bending silliness.
Boxed game with 168 cards, rules, and die.

The works of HP Lovecraft are hilariously lampooned here, in what is probably the coolest Munchkin expansion to date. Lots of great new monsters to fight and treasures to collect.
Lots of strong monsters and weak heroes make for a very difficult game, and sure enough, this is probably the hardest Munchkin set to play as a stand-alone game, however: It does mix very well thematically with Star Munchkin and Munchkin Bites.
My favorite mix: Munchkin Cthulhu, Munchkin Cthulhu 2, Star Munchkin, and Super Munchkin! Super heroes vs. unspeakable evil in space. |
This is a variant of the classic Munchkin, based on the works of H.P.Lovecraft. In order to appreciate the game and the humour in it, you certainly need to know a bit about the setting, and the perfect fit would be for people who used to play the roleplaying game Call of Cthulhu. |

Great Munchkin spin-off! If you know any of the Cthulhu Mythos, the cards will have you chuckling throughout the game. I have noticed that my friends not into Cthulhu miss the jokes, but still enjoy the game. |

For a while, my absolute favorite munchkin, if you're a fan of Munchkin and especially if you're a fan of H.P Love craft you'll love this game. H.P Love Craft's works are hilariously parodied in this munchkin adaptation and the gameplay is flavored with all kinds of new wacky elements. Curses and madnesses galore! |
