| This is an expansion that I rarely play without. It consists of 12 tiles. 2 tiles are blank (so that the player may create their own tiles with their own rules to use). 6 of the tiles are Shrines, which play just like the Cloisters of the base game, but when placed next to a Cloister may cause a battle for points that becomes winner take all. 4 Siege tiles (an English Printing of the German Die Katherer expansion) can be placed to cut the value of an opponent's city in half. This expansion includes several new mechanics of attack that are fun to play with in competitive matches. I am a big fan of this expansion, especially considering the low cost. |
