Great quick abstract civ building game. Not as in depth as most civ games but a blast to play and crams into 30 minutes. |
Roll Through the Ages

Roll Through the Ages gives you the feeling of building and managing an empire over a prolonged period of time, while maintaining a very short play time. This is an amazing achievement made possible by the use of dice to limit your actions and determine resource allocation. Roll Through the Ages has meaningful decisions and really feels like a civilization building game. |

Roll Through the Ages manages to provide the feeling of an epic civilization game while having an amazingly short playing time - something attempted by many games but not really achieved before. I also like that your decision matter, but that there is enough randomness to make the game very replayable. |

Want a civilization game that you can play in 12 minutes? Want to have several different legitimate strategies to victory? Are you okay with a little luck and trying to mitigate bad rolls with variable tactics? Try this game! |

I love empire-building games with technologies. I enjoy dice games, I can't believe they've combined the two into a quick, fun family-friendly game. The two are even better when combined into one! Someone should tell the Reese's people. |

I admittedly got this game to complete my set of the Gryphon Bookshelf Series. My wife and I played it and thought it was a great 2-player game. Then I recently took it on my vacation and my family just loved it. I love the different paths to victory and look forward to playing with the improved scoresheet that is free online. Much more interactive than I thought a dice game could be. |

We got this game as a wedding present and we absolutely love it! The game is essentially a portable version of Through the Ages. It is very simple to learn and easy to play but has surprising depth and replayability. I love games with multiple paths to victory. The components are great - the pegboard used to keep track of goods is an excellent idea. This game is VERY travel friendly and we plan to take it on our honeymoon. Enjoy! |
