The Living Card Game system from FFG is pure genius. No more do you have to buy loads of boosters to try to collect a set or get the cards you want...you get the full Core Set and can then customize and build a deck to suit your play style. I love it! The game system is fantastic (best with more than 2 players) and the artwork is gorgeous!

A good LCG that is best in its multiplayer form, FFG has put several great multiplayer twists on this game with titles (and cool plastic pieces to go with them) and the relationships between those titles. Fits perfectly thematically and introduces cool new powers into the game.

Full disclosure: I am/was a big-time player of Magic the Gathering. As such, I was very familiar with deck building and the complicated turn structure inherent in CCG/LCG games. Okay, so first off, if you've read the books you should immediately get two of these core sets. Additionally, if you are a fan of good CCG/LCG games, you should immediately get two of these core sets. With two core sets, you'll be able to form your own decks to play with your friends. My urging to purchase would be useless if it weren't for the fact that this game is so good, well-balanced, and interesting. For me, what puts this game over the top is the fact that it's actually designed to work as a 4-player free-for-all experience (it also works well for 2 or 3). If you have a few friends that are card players, you have to give this game a try!
