| A quick, fun game that has elements of strategy, luck, and a bit of screw your opponents. The new card drawing mechanic can help people who seem woefully behind catch up. Our first game looked like a run a way victory for one person at first but came very close at the end. Easy for adults and kids to play together. |

| I loved the original Cartagena but when I went to buy it, I had the choice between the original and this game Cartagena 2. I was glad with my choice of the second game. It moves a little more quickly because to draw cards you have to move opponents further along the board rather than move yourself backwards. You have to watch carefully to take advantage of chains of covered symbols and try to disrupt those chains so your opponents can't use them. A good mix of strategy and planning. Very accesible for families and a lot of fun! |
