A favorite of mine. This is a pattern-recognition game, but it's tricky to see the patterns. Easy to bring out for a short game when you're waiting on something, or to play a few rounds of with a group. Simple idea, and I love that it's not just a variation of a standard playing card game. |

One of our favorite two player games. Not a perfect game, but it's light, competitive, strategic, and tactical. A lot to fit into a two-player game that won't take up your whole day.
Great for travelling, or as a gift to a couple. Even if we don't play for a year, this is a game we hang on to. |

Just a great game. Simple concept, excellent balance on scoring. Competition without a huge amount of conflict. We loved the two-player version, but bring out this one more frequently because it's so easy to enjoy with a group. |

Excellent two player game. Spent two months camping, and this quickly became our favorite. Mostly tactical, but some strategy, and quick turns. Hard to describe, a very abstract game, but simple and fun. We enjoy this so much we bought the larger version as well. |

Not our favorite game, but every time we pull it out and play it again, there's that flash of "oh yeah! This is a good one!" and we're happy we still have it.
Not too complex, but enough that a little gaming experience would be helpful. Really nice for smaller groups, we've had fun with any number of players supported (2, 3, or 4). |
Ticket To Ride - Europe

Ticket to Ride is a group favorite. My dad plays, my wife plays, we introduce it to new friends. Europe is markedly better than the USA map, because there is more variability and less route monopolizing from one game to the next. Not too hard, but still strategic. One of our major loves of this game is the short turn cycle, you're almost always doing something. |

Blind-scoring, competitive racing, and huge amounts of variable strategy and card combos available. Not too complicated, while providing lots of options. This game is my family's new gateway game. Even my mom requests we play it! |

Really an excellent game with a very simple premise. There is a lot of room for creativity, humor, and depth. This game really took me off guard at how fun it is with such a simple premise. |

I loved it a lot. It takes a while to set up but the game play is worth it. It doesn't matter what player you deside to be because they both have their strong points. It's a fairly long game, but once you get going, you won't even notice how long it takes because it's so much fun. I give it a 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!! |
